Three hugely experienced organisations – Fieldwork Education, the European Council of International Schools, and the National Association of Headteachers – have been working together to bring a fresh approach to the professional development of all those working in middle leadership positions in international and internationally minded schools.

With the focus on learning-centred, morally driven, sustainable leadership and management practice, the International Leadership and Management Program for Middle Leaders (ILMP ML) provides a highly practical development program that can be applied to any school environment around the world.

Who is the program for?

The International Leadership and Management Program for Middle Leaders is specifically aimed at anyone in a leadership role such as;

  • Lead Teacher
  • Coordinator of Subject/Program
  • Head of Department
  • Team Leader
  • Assistant Principal
  • Member of Administrative teams
  • Dean of Students
  • Counselling teams

What format will the program follow?

The four-day program will be a mix of input from the session leaders, personal reflection, group discussions and forward planning. Like everything Fieldwork Education does, each session will be based upon the best and most recent research. The program will be practical, accessible and jargon-free.

How will the program benefit you?

By the end of the program you should be able to:

• ensure that learning is at the centre of everything that happens in schools

• contribute to a growing network of international school leaders

• take responsibility for key areas of school improvement and feel fully accountable for the outcome of these actions

• feel increasingly confident in your professional relationships with students, staff and board members; even in difficult or confrontational situations

• be flexible and have the ability to deputise for senior leaders when the need arises

• know and promote the principles of distributed leadership

• build a professional portfolio of leadership and management skills that will enable you to succeed and grow in both current and future roles
