Frequently Asked Questions about the ILMP

How long does the program last?
The program lasts for the duration of just over one year. You will receive initial course material and key reading texts in early January of one year and the program ends in early February of the following year.

How much time will I be expected to give to the program?
Overall you will be expected to give 20 days of your time to your ILMP learning over the course of one year.

There are two residential elements of the program – one near to the start which lasts four days and one at the end which lasts three days.

Who is it for?
The ILMP is for people with a senior leadership position in an international school. Principals, directors, board members, vice principals, deputy heads, deans and senior heads of departments have all participated so far.

Is it accredited?
The action research carried out as part of your Personal Leadership Project during the program can be used as part of a route to accreditation at the University of Bath, England.

How much does it cost?
The program currently costs 4,300 GBP. We are always prepared to discuss flexible payments with participants.

Can I be put in contact with a past participant to hear from them about the program?
Yes. There are many past participants who are willing to discuss the program in more details with potential applicants. Just let us know if you would like us to arrange this and we will put you in contact with someone.

What is the difference between the ILMP and the ILMP UK?
Both programs are essentially the same in terms of content. The ILMP is for senior leaders working in international schools and the ILMP UK are for senior school leaders working in schools in the UK .
